However, I am working today, so I doubt if a chase and a livestream is possible.  Also, due to the marginal nature of the chase, it really would be worth going on a 4 to 6 hours drive for this one.
Tue 00:31 -- I worked today, but the weather affected us in our area.
I was in an area where I was getting poor cell service, but when I finally got a chance to get the internet, this popped up...

Check out the hook echo west of Westmoreland, Kansas.  Here is what it looked like in 3D...

The velocities were unmistakable...

However, it did not produce on the ground.  The bow echo out by Hiawatha Kansas came to Kansas City, but weakened on the way.  However, after midnight, storms in central Kansas are restrengthening...

Tonight produced a tornado in Jefferson county Nebraska.

Early fall chase today maybe....

There is a slight chance of severe weather today.  The boards have lit up with chasers in our area.  I am prepared to head out if need be.  Meanwhile I am streaming live.  So stay tuned....


16:20 -- light to moderate rain in Kansas City.  Running errands and keeping an eye on the skies.
17:15 --  SUN IS OUT -- Heat & humidity is waaaay up

19:13 -- the chase is on.  Things are looking good.





20:00 -- I-70 & K-7  Some good cells, one west of Topeka has gone severe warned.  In a good cell here.






21:50 -- Home -- there are a couple of warnings still, but it seems everything is winding down.  I'm keeping my eye on a storm southwest of Lawrence Kansas that is severe warned.  This storm has had a history of producing high wind and hail.

Looks like we may see some rain from this...

Yesterday, I saw a truck done up in the way I'd like to fix up Betsy for storm chasing season...

I'd like to get the cover and the rack to put the hail protectors on.  This truck was even converted to burn vegitable oil, which is one of the reasons I went diesel in the first place.
