Severe Thunderstorm with copious hail up to 1/2"

Driving southbound on 169, I intercepted a severe warned cell that headed northeast out of Kansas at 35 mph.

Half inch hail coated the roadway on 169 north of the KCMO downtown airport.


Heavy rain hit the metro tapering off into the evening
